One branch of stationery addicts are people who love to exchange snail mail and send out happy mails. There's a certain joy in finding friends with mutual interests from across the world, and snail mail is the best way to connect the love of analog. February is not only the month for romance, but it is also the month for letter writing and this month's Sticky Kit has the perfect theme for it.
I dedicated two pages of my Hobonichi to be decorated with all the mail-related washi tapes and stickers from this kit. I particularly love the in-house designed mailbox stickers by Sticky Kit. One pleasant surprise is the stationery washi tape by Eric Small Things, which is designed to look like individual stamps with your favorite items: letters and wax seals, fountain pen nibs, ink and writing tools, and even a little cute astronaut floating in space holding a piece of mail!
A funny story: one letter I sent out to a good friend in December made it all the way to Taipei and the post office near her home. However, it got RETURNED-to-sender back to me in Seattle! (I had the street number wrong). It was hilarious to find this letter coming back to me in February. I shared the story with my friend and ended up keeping this "unsent" notecard in my Hobonichi. It had been a few stressful weeks, so the card returned to me with the perfect quote. Perhaps it's meant to be ;)
"When my spirit animal takes over, I become ferocious"
